Uzhgorod residents will be able to continue to receive medical care at any health facility, regardless of whether they have signed a declaration with a doctor or are still looking for one. Regardless of whether a health facility has concluded an agreement with the National Health Service or is only going to do so, all facilities will continue to receive budget funding, – the Uzhgorod City Council’s Health Department reported.
According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, by the end of 2018, the medical institutions, that have concluded agreements with the National Health Service, will be receiving funds under two mechanisms. At the basic rate of 370 UAH per person a years – for patients who have signed declarations. Additionally, institutions will be receiving UAH 240 for patients, who live in the area served by the institution, but have not yet signed a declaration on the choice of a doctor. Health care establishments that are only going to sign contracts with the NHS will be receiving funding in the third quarter on the basis of the medical subvention. That is, through direct payments or the medical subvention mechanism, the state continues to pay for medical care for EVERY Ukrainian.
Your district general physician may ask you to choose and sign a declaration with him ot her in order to continue providing services to you.But the choice is up to you.
