The Head of the Healthcare Department of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, Yelizaveta Birov, today answered numerous questions of deputies about the medical reform.
According to Mrs. Birov, the second stage of the medical reform will start on April 1, that is, starting from April, the financing will be carried out not per bed but per service provided. The NHSU has developed 27 health care packages by which health care facilities should be contracted, but they have to meet the requirements.
So, two weeks ago, it was decided that in April contracted medical institutions would be financed at 100%, in May – at 90%, the rest would have to be earned, in June – at 80%, and so on. Each institution has been provided with an amount of funding and the use of the funds will be monitored based on the performance.
