St. Martin’s Day will be celebrated in Mukachevo (Program)

This year, in Mukachevo, the patron saint of the city will be honored for several days

From 6 to 8 of November, the Tourism Information Center of Mukachevo will be holding public theme tours "Under the Protection of St. Martin" within the framework of the program "Know Your Hometown" for pupils of the Mukachevo Center for Out-of-School Education. Final quest-excursion for the best participants will be held on November 11

On November 10, in the framework of the project "Martin-music-fest", the festival of choral music with the participation of the choirs of the region will take place in the Assumption Cathedral (Greek Catholic Church). The beginning is at 17.00.

November 11

From 10:00, the thematic photo-zone and gastro-location (fried goose, baked apples, chestnuts, honey, wine), the information zone will open on Cyril and Methodius square.

10:30 – St. Martin’s Cathedral – solemn liturgy.

17:00-18:00 solemn mass – St. Martin’s Cathedral, with the participation of choirs of the region, within the framework of the project "Martin-music-fest".

18:30 – Start of the festive procession with lanterns (the participants gather near the central library).

18:45 – Theatrical performance, excerpts from the life of St. Martin (the square in front of the Mukachevo drama theater)

19:00 – Speech by Andriy Baloha, the Mayor of Mukachevo.

Awarding of the winners of the competition among children of preschool education institutions for the best creative work on the topic: "Saint Martin – history and legend".

Awarding of the participants of the city festival "Magic lantern".

Symbolic sprinkling of land with wine for fertility in the coming year;
