Soon, loud sounds of trembitas in Tyachiv district will announce “Spring mountain valley march”

The holiday of sending sheep up the mountain valleys "Spring mountain valley march" will take place for the fourth time on May 7 in the village of Dubove, the Department of Culture of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration informs.

  

The celebration will start at 13.00 in front of the House of Culture, where guests and shepherds will be met with loud sounds of trembitas. Columns will line up near the local park, and amateur artists from different villages of the district will be sitting on carts decorated with carpets and ribbons and pulled by horses adorned with flowers. The festival will be opened by the village head, then the mountain valley march will be blessed by priests, after which the chief shepherd will order the festive column to go to the main location.

At the local stadium, the concert and entertainment program will be held, sporting events, exhibition of works by district artists and workshops on folk crafts and, of course, tasting of sheep products will take place. Sheep farmers will show the whole process of making of delicious cheese and vurda. Nearby, visitors will be able to purchase these products.

To recreate the life of shepherds on the meadow, a "shepherd" bonfire will be kindled, which symbolizes health and protection from all troubles.

Special guests of the festival are the winner of the show "The Voice 5" Anton Kopytin, semifinalist of the show "The Voice 5", the famous singer, author and composer Ivan Pylypets, performer and author Svyatoslav Krai and comic theater "Kum" (Ivano-Frankivsk).
