Social workers were honoured in Transcarpathia

On Tuesday, November 3, with the participation of the management of the region, on the occasion of the professional holiday, a solemn meeting of social workers from all districts and cities of the region took place in the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration. 

The event began with a minute of silence to honor the memory of the heroes who gave their lives for the independence and peace in Ukraine. Then, the officials congratulated social workers.

         "Social security is one of the few areas that concerns every citizen from the moment of his or her birth, so the role of the social worker in our society is especially important, – the director of the Department of Social Welfare of the Transcarpathian Regional Administration Hanna Morozyuk said congratulating her colleagues. – More than 4 thousand specialists of our region are honorably performing their duties, increasing the tradition of charity and mutual aid." Hanna Morozyuk thanked all social workers of the region for dedication and sacrifice, because this job requires not only expertise, but also soul, compassion and humanity.

The acting head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Oleksandr Petik addressing the audience said that social work is not only an official duty, it is the call of heart.

During the ceremony, the best social workers in the region received awards: gratidudes of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine, the head of the RSA and diplomas of the regional administration.
