Today, on the bank of the Tisa river, which forms the Ukrainian-Romanian border, the border patrol of the "Dilove" department of the Mukachevo detachment prevented an attempt to commit an illegal act.
In the morning, the troops noticed a group of unknown persons with packages that were heading towards the border with Romania. When they saw the law enforcement officers approaching, the smugglers left their packages and ran away, ignoring the demands of the border guards.
During the inspection of the area, the border guards found near the border six packages, which contained three thousand packs of cigarettes.
The tobacco products were delivered to the Department of the Border Guard Service "Dilove". Measures to identify the persons involved in the unlawful activities are being taken.
