Smugglers scared by border guards abandoned boxes with cigarettes (PHOTOS)

Last night, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented an attempt to smuggle a large amount of tobacco products to Romania.  
During the patroling, border guards of the Dyula inspection unit saw a group of people carrying packages wrapped in black polyethylene.  
In an attempt to detain the offenders, the soldiers fired several warning shots, but the attackers left their load and fled.  
During the subsequent inspection of the area, 700 m to the border, border guards found 19 boxes, which contained 9450 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps.  
A report of a criminal offense under Article 204 of the Criminal Code "Illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation for sale of excisable goods" was sent to the Main Office of the SFS in Transcarpathian region.
