Today, February 15, 2017, at the customs post "Tisa", an attempt to smuggle 535 packs of cigarettes was exposed.A Ukrainian hid tobacco products in 5 tables, which he was carrying to Italy.
The driver of the car "MERCEDES-SPRINTER", a citizen of Ukraine tried to illegally export cigarettes to Italy via the "red" corridor lane; assured Transcarpathian customs officers that he was not moving any goods other than the declared ones.
During the customs control, customs officers suspected that he was moving goods concealed from customs control. The vehicle was sent to a special box, where the inspection group of customs officers and border guards, using a scanner, found 535 packs of cigarettes with excise stamps Ukraine.
Thus, the citizen committed the act to move the goods across the customs border of Ukraine concealed from customs control using means and ways that complicate the identification of such goods. The report on violation of customs rules was made. The cigarettes and the tables were seized. The total cost of the tobacco products is 11,235 UAH. Customs officers will forward the case to court, which will determine the sentence.
