Slovakia intends to reconstruct the checkpoint "Vysne Nemecke – Uzhgorod" on the Ukrainian-Slovak border in Transcarpathian region.
This was announced by a representative of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration – the Censor.NET informs with reference to the Ukrainski Novyny.
He said that the cost of the reconstruction is 1.7 million euro.
In particular, the number of lanes on the road from Slovakia will be increased by 1 to 3, on the road from Ukraine – by 1 to 4.
A pedestrian and bicycle crossing of the border will also be built.
In addition, the roadbed will be replaced and the office building will be thoroughly renovated at the checkpoint.
