Slovakia has simplified cross-border travel for 8 neighboring countries – Ukraine is not on this list

From Wednesday midnight, citizens of the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary are allowed to cross mutual borders and stay in those countries for 48 hours without the need for coronavirus test or epidemiological quarantine. This was reported by the news site Infostart.hu.

In particular, Slovakia has eased restrictions on the travel of citizens with permanent or temporary residence in 8 European countries. But currently only for a period not exceeding 48 hours.

Those countries include the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Germany and Switzerland.

At the same time, when returning to Slovakia for up to 48 hours, confirmation of a negative test for coronavirus is not required. This was announced by the press secretary of the Health Service of Slovakia Dasa Rackova.

Similarly, persons with permanent or temporary residence in the Czech Republic and Hungary will be able to arrive in the territory of the Slovak Republic through border crossings and stay there for a maximum of 48 hours. They also do not have to take the COVID-19 test upon arrival and will not be quarantined.
