Thirty students from the Slovak town of Vranov nad Topľou were caroling on Wednesday, January 13, in the regional state administration. The visit of carolers from the neighboring country has become a tradition, because they came to Transcarpathia for the fifth time.
This year, the delegation of carolers was greeted by the head of the region Hennadiy Moskal. He thanked the children for the paerformance of carols in Slovak, Ruthenian and Ukrainian, and gave them presents and sweets.
The visit of Slovak children, as every year, took place with the assistance of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in the Slovak Republic Stanislav Obicki. As the diplomat says, the children from the city of Vranov nad Topl’ou came to our region to witness the strength of friendly relations with Transcarpathians and honor the tradition.
During the visit to Transcarpathia, the children from Slovakia also caroled in Uzhgorod specialized school №4, where pupils study the Slovak language, as well as in the Consulate General of the Slovak Republic in the city of Uzhgorod.
