Situation regarding COVID-19 in Transcarpathia and Uzhgorod as of the morning of May 7

During the last day, May 6, 355 people sought emergency medical care, 6 of them had symptoms of acute pneumonia, 7 were suspected of having COVID-19.

This was reported by the director of the department of health care of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Yelizaveta Birov.

143 samples of biological materials were collected for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing and sent to the virological laboratory for examination.

28 persons were confirmed to have COVID-19, including 10 medical professionals.

Overall, as of 9:00 am on May 7, 2020, 222 patients have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of those, 154 are health care workers, 25 are children.

There have been no reported fatal cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours. 3479 polymerase chain reaction tests have been performed. 86 patients have recovered.

As for Uzhgorod, as of the morning of May 7, 222 Uzhgorod residents have been confirmed to have COVID-19. This was reported by the health department of Uzhgorod city council and Uzhgorod city and district branch of the State Institution "Transcarpathian Regional Laboratory Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine". 

9 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in the past 24 hours. 58 coronavirus patients are health care workers. 

25 people have recovered

19 Uzhgorod citizens are in self-isolation 
 
In the last 24 hours, mobile crews have made 12 visits, 50 samples of biological materials have been collected for polymerase chain reaction test. In total, since the onset of the disease, 234 visits have been made, 851 samples of biological materials have been collected for PCR tests.
