Simplified border crossing procedure with Slovakia will be introduced in 30 more Ukrainian villages

The president approved changes to the agreement between Ukraine and Slovakia on local border traffic, which provide for simplification of border crossing procedure for residents of another 30 Ukrainian villages.

Thus, the decree, published on the President’s website, reads: "Approve the agreement between Ukraine and the Slovak Republic on amending the agreement between Ukraine and the Slovak Republic on local border traffic of May 30, 2008."

According to the changes to the agreement signed on April 16 in Bratislava during the visit of the Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman to Slovakia, local border traffic is being introduced for the inhabitants of the following villages: Benyova, Berezhok, Bitlya, Boberka, Borynya, Verkhnye, Verkhniy Turi, Verkhnya Yablunka, Vytsiv, Vovche, Grozyovo, Dnistryk, Dnistryk-Dubovy, Zhukotyn, Karpatske, Libokhora, Limna, Lopushanka, Nyzhnye, Nyzhniy Turiv, Nyzhnya Yablunka, Pryslip, Ripyanka, Syhlovate, Smerechka, Synaky, Khashchiv, Shandrovets, Shumyach, Yavoriv.

In addition to expanding the list of border settlements, changes to the agreement also provide for an extension of the term of stay to 90 days.
