“Silver Tatosh”: Swords in the rain

"Silver Tatosh" – the only festival in Transcarpathia of medieval culture and one of the most brilliant performances of the year.

In fact, it opens the festival season. In addition it does not only start the season in Transcarpathian region, but also launches a chain of festivals of historical reconstruction in Ukraine. This time the festival brought together participants from different regions of the country – from Lviv to Lugansk, there were also guests from Crimea and a team from Slovakia – club «Via Cassa» – provided the festival with the international status.

For two days, the Castle of St. Miklos in Chynadiyevo was inhabited by people dressed like in Middle Ages, knights and beautiful ladies, was filled with music and dances due to dancing workshops, while weapons clanked at the fair.
