Oleksandr Shufrich sent a letter of response to the decision of the FFU Referees Committee concerning the unfair refereeing in the match between "Goverla" and Lutsk "Volyn".
The Committee Chairman Pierluigi Collina decided not to appoint referee Dankovsky for the next matches.
"Our club received the information on the assessment given by the Referees Committee of Ukraine and the curator Pierluigi Collina regarding the actions of the referee Dankovsky S.V. in the match of the 14th round of the championship of Ukraine among Premier League teams between the teams "Volyn" Lutsk – "Goverla" Uzhgorod. We believe the sanctions applied to this referee are objective and in conformity to the severity of his mistakes.
Therefore, we have decided not to sabotage home game of the next round of the championship of Ukraine among the teams of the Premier League. We sincerely hope for consistency and integrity in subsequent decisions of Referees Committee of Ukraine and the curator Pierluigi Collina, and are waiting for a proper assessment of the referees’ actions in the other six games mentioned in the letter of the club dated 11/05/2012." – wrote the Vice President of FC "Goverla" Uzhgorod Oleksandr Shufrich in the letter of response.
