Shevchenko will appear in Beregovo on his 200th anniversary

Monument to the Kobzar is going to be installed in Beregovo.
This was announced today, February 1st, during a press conference in Uzhgorod Press Club by the deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Mykola Tomenko, reported zaholovok.com.ua .

"Tomorrow in Beregovo, my colleagues and I will look around for the place for a monument to Shevchenko. Previously local authorities approved the location of the monument on Shevchenko Str. I think we will decide on the place, and then another Transcarpathian city will have the monument to the poet to his 200th anniversary," – Mykola Tomenko said.
According to the deputy, the monument is an initiative of Beregovo and Uzhgorod businessmen and deputies.
"Residents of Beregovo decided that their city should also have a monument to Taras Shevchenko" – said the MP.
