A pride and beauty of Ukrainian Carpathians – the brown bear with two cubs – has been walking around the surrounding remote villages of the Sin.-Polanski village for the last three weeks.
Unfortunately, it doesn’t make the residents of local neighborhoods happy. They daily peer into the haze of distant forest thickets with fear. Especially near the tracts of Krasny, Vedmezhy, Firesovy and others. It is here the she bear with her offspring caused damage to seven local residents, "having killed" a horse, three cows, two colts, and other domestic livestock.
The head of the village Synevirska Polyana Yuri Horvat and the executive committee secretary of the village council of the same name Maria Krasnyanik almost every day listen to the complaints of the inhabitants of 12 villages, who allegedly saw a bear with cubs on their outskirts. They beg to do at least something to get rid of it. Though they are well aware that this is not so easy to do. On the territory of the Natural Park "Sinevir" hunting for bears is prohibited. However, they have been coping with the audacity of the Carpathian beauty long enough…
Therefore, they are hoping that the management of the National Park and environmentalists will make every effort to put an end to its predatory actions.
