Tomorrow, February 9, participants of the Open Tour will see the Jewish Uzhgorod.
"We all know that Uzhgorod is a multinational city. Did you know that before the Second World War, almost 40% of Uzhgorod population were Jews? Admit, it’s quite a lot. As a legacy, we now have the second most beautiful synagogue in Europe… But do we know more about the Jews of Uzhgorod? How the community lived, how it developed, how it influenced the city life and environment. What other places of worship belonged to the community, what was preserved and what not. There are a lot of questions. And our tour this Sunday will be devoted to this aspect of history of Uzhgorod," – they inform on the official FB page of the community.
