On Wednesday, August 14, a triple accident occurred near the village of Dubrivka on the Kyiv-Chop highway. The accident in Uzhgorod district happened around 9:15.
Several people got injured as a result of the collision of a truck TATA and cars Mercedes and Chevrolet. One person was killed.
The spokeswoman for the communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police, Inessa Manzulich-Ivanova, said that the Mercedes was driven by a resident of Beregovo born in 1990.
As the investigative team found out, the driver, moving in the direction of Mukachevo, lost control, drove onto the oncoming lane, where he collided with the Chevrolet, which was driven by a man from Vynogradiv district, born in 1970, and with a truck TATA driven by a resident of Mukachevo born in 1953.
As a result of the crash, the driver and passengers of the Mercedes got injured. They were taken to a hospital in Uzhgorod. One passenger is a resident of Beregovo born in 1983. The other one, unfortunately, died on the way to the hospital. He was a boy born in 2001.
The truck was driven by a resident of Mukachevo.
Preliminary legal classification is Part 2 of Art. 286 of the Criminal Code. The State Bureau of Investigations will investigate this fatal accident.
