Several participants of the shooting in Solotvyno have already been detained – the State Border Guard Service

Law enforcement officials identified the participants of yesterday’s shooting in Transcarpathian region, some of them have been detained.

This was reported by the spokesman of the State Border Guard Service Oleg Slobodyan on the TV channel "112 Ukraine".  

"Four people, who were injured, are in hospital. They have been identified and are giving testimony. As for the other participants, those are several persons. Some have been detained, the others are wanted," – Slobodyan said.

He confirmed that the shooting occurred on account of cigarette smuggling.

Recall that in the evening, on August 30, at a gas station near the village of Solotvyno, there was a shootout between groups of local residents and residents of Mukachevo. As a result, 4 people were wounded and hospitalized, one victim is in critical condition.

The head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal said that the cause of the conflict was the fact that smugglers from Tyachiv district had not paid the Mukachevo "suppliers" for the cigarettes because they had lost the goods when smuggling them across the border.

Criminal proceeding over this incident was opened under Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 2 of Paragraph 12 of Art. 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (attempted murder). The interception plan was announced in the region, mobile posts were set up.
