Policemen detected four foreigners who were walking along the Kyiv-Chop highway, near the village of Holubyne in Svalyava district. Three more were detained by law enforcement officers on Hranitna street at the exit from the city of Uzhgorod. All seven intended to illegally leave for Austria without any documents.
In the morning, about 09.30, policemen noticed four Orientals near the village of Holubyne, Slalyava district. The men were walking towards the village and intended to hide in the bushes until they are picked up by traffickers.
According to different data, the foreigners paid for the transportation to the countries of the European Union about 2,000 USD each.
All seven were transferred to the temporary detention facility for foreigners of the Mukachevo border guard detachment, their case will be considered by the court.
Criminal proceeding over organization of the illegal transportation of migrants across the state border of Ukraine was opened on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 2 of Art.332 (illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The investigation in the case is ongoing.
