The Romanian folk art regional festival, which is designed to preserve the original culture of the Transcarpathian Romanians, takes place already for the 22nd year in the outskirts Plauts of the village Vodytsia in Rakhiv district. The representatives of the National Deputy of Ukraine Vasil Petiovka visited in order to support the region national minorities’ traditions. Dwellers were presented with valuable gifts on his behalf.
As soon as the trembita began to sound the Plautska school students were singing and dancing at the stage. The vocal ensembles performed Romanian folk music, the kids read poems and the craftsmen demonstrated their works. The whole Romanian wedding was demonstrated by the dwellers of the neighboring village of Bila Tserkva, the primary school students’ chorus from the School of Arts from the village of Nyzhnia Apsha sang, the troist culture house musicians from Solotvyno played the wedding songs, dwellers from Velykyi Buchkiv, Serednie, Vodiane performed the folk dances, such as zhurel, serita, invertita…
Mini-combines and watches were presented to the Plauts dwellers by Vasyl Petiovka. Vasyl Vasyliovych presented projectors to the secondary schools of the villages of Vodytsa and Plauts. Musical centers were presented to the kindergarten and the village club.
