Serhiy Fedaka presented a “funny history” of Uzhgorod

In the Transcarpathian Regional Scientific Library, Doctor of Historical Sciences, writer Serhiy Fedaka presented a new book – "The Ark over the Uzh. History of Uzhgorod in Anecdotes and Apocrypha," the Media Center of UzhNU reported.

The publication is dedicated to the 1125th anniversary of the city, which is celebrated this weekend. In the book the author described this celebration.

According to Professor of UzhNU Serhiy Fedaka, there is a tradition of funny histories in the world. And while the history of the city has already been written by many authors (including himself), there has been no funny history about Uzhgorod yet. During eight years, the historian wrote 115 stories, which in a humorous and mystical manner tell the history of the city from its foundation to the present days.

This is the fourth fiction book by the scholar and writer. Before that, he published "Apple from Eve" (2005), "Carpathian Crossword" (2009), "A Jack of Valentine Druget" (2010). The next year, Serhiy Fedaka promises to publish the sequel to the funny history of the city called "Catalpas and Mascarons of Uzhgorod."
