The Center for Professional Advancement of Civil Servants, together with the Department of Social Welfare of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration launched a series of thematic seminars "Current issues of work of local government bodies: social protection of servicemen, participants of the ATO and family members of the killed ATO participants."
One of them was chaired by the Deputy Head of the Department of Social Welfare Natalia Omelyanyuk. The seminar was also attended by secretaries of village and town councils and authorized persons of social protection units of local government bodies, participants of the ATO, specialists of social welfare departments.
Natalia Omelyanyuk elaborated on the main problems that combatants face upon returning home and ways to address their social, legal, domestic problems, the need for social and psychological support. She familiarized the seminar participants with the basic points of the roadmap for providing social guarantees to combatants who have taken part in the anti-terrorist operation and to bereaved families of the servicemen participating in the ATO.
Also, similar seminars have been held at Khust District State Administration, which covers three districts – Khust, Rakhiv and Tyachiv; Vynogradiv District State Administration (Beregovo, Vynogradiv, Irshava districts), Mukachevo District State Administration (Mukachevo, Svalyava districts), Uzhgorod District State Administration (Uzhgorod district). The next seminar will be held at Mizhhirya District State Administration (Mizhhirya and Volovets districts).
