Uzhgorod City Council reminds: Uzhgorod regatta-2018 starts on Sunday, July 29, at 18:00 – a fun sporting event, rafting down the Uzh river on floating crafts of various designs.
The start is at the beach near the Pidzamkovy bridge (right bank).
The finish is behind the Masaryk Bridge, near the "Uzh-Venezia" restaurant (left bank).
Following the Regatta, winners in the following categories will be awarded:
"The Flying Dutchman" (the fastest ship)
"Jolly Roger" (the most original ship)
"Black Cuttlefish" (the fastest ship among the homemade ones)
"Noah’s Ark" (the largest crew).
At the finish, various competitions and contests will be conducted.
The organizers say that the best place to watch the Regatta is the pedestrian bridge. So, they invite everyone to the finish, to the restaurant "Uzh-Venezia", where the awarding of the winners, the photo zone and the Regata Reggae party will take place. The party will last until 00:00. Marine dress code and good mood are welcomed.
Recall that the Movement to support Transcarpathian soldiers, together with Uzhgorod mistresses, is preparing a thematic summer and sea fair. The fair on summer and sea themes will be held on Teatralna Square on Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29, from 11:00 and until the end of the day.
