Scientists developed a device for personal monitoring

At the exhibition CES 2014, Sony presented an unusual device for personal monitoring, and special software for it.

This was reported by the "Ekonomichna Pravda", citing the "CyberSecurity".

According to the publication, the new hardware device Sony Core paired with the application can record person’s conversations, receive emails, protocol person’s activities such as eating or watching a movie.

Also, the software can recognize when the user rests, is in the vehicle or engaged in some activity.

Of course, in light of recent trends related to data privacy, the device raises a number of issues, but the Sony say that in everyday life there are many situations where such monitoring is necessary.

The Sony say that Core users can edit the security level of data logged in the application Lifelog, besides the company assures that all data are stored locally and are not transmitted to third-party servers.

In addition, users themselves can choose which data to store for later use.
