Given that bicycle parkings – advertising boards continue to occupy the historic city center, uzhgorod.in again turned to the Acting Chief Architect of Uzhgorod Leonid Samsonov with the question about those hardscaping elements with advertising boards and the legitimacy of installation thereof on Korzo, Voloshin and other streets.
Mr. Leonid said, "It happened like this. A representative of cycling enthusiasts came to me and asked what did I think about the installation of bicycle parkings in the city center. I said that I support this idea. I asked him to bring sketches so I could see how they look like. He said that he wanted to place advertising. I said that it should be unobtrusive."
– So it was an unauthorized installation?Now what?
– I think that first the municipal police will come and make an announcement, and he will dismantle them. And then he will do it again properly. The owner must agree the appearance of such objects with us.
As for the fact that unauthorized facilities continue to appear in the city – on both sides of Korzo and Voloshin streets and on Teatralna Square, Leonid Samsonov said: "Well, I can not hold him by the hands, can I? ".
