Russians “set their eyes” on Uzhgorod… instrument

"Take what I no longer need" – apparently under this motto in 1974, the Moscow Bolshoi Theater of Russia gave the "brotherly country" the organ… Yes, the one that pleases visitors and residents of the Silver Land at the Regional Philharmonic concerts. And now the bohemians of the state, that is attacking the Crimea, want to come and see what condition it is in…

Probably they did not expect that the instrument would work that long, since it was presented when a reconstruction took place there. Perhaps the instrument was to be writen off – why else would they have given a good thing for a "thank you"?

However, the fact remains – the director of one of the leading art institutions in Transcarpathia Ivan Mykyta confirmed the desire, expressed by the Russians, to see the "gift" given almost 50 years ago. "Why?" – he does not know, but he is ready to receive "elite tourists" as a friend, if they turn to him again.

By the way, among the expensive rarities of the former Soviet Union in the former synagogue on the embankment, there are also two grand pianos («PETROF», «STEINWAY & SONS»).
