Running from border guards, smugglers left near the border 5 packages of cigarettes

Yesterday, border guards of the Mukachevo detachment prevented an attempt of cigarette smuggling.

While patroling, servicemen of the border guard service department "Dilove" saw two men, who were moving quickly towards the Tisa river, which forms the state border with Romania. Each of the men was carrying large packages wrapped in polyethylene. Having noticed the border guards, the offenders left their packages and ran away.

Later, during the inspection of the area, border guards found 5 packages with 2250 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps.

The found tobacco products were delivered to the border guard unit. Measures to identify the persons involved in this offense are being taken.
