Runaway Bride: 15 Uzhgorod girls took part in the Fun Run as part of the Bride’s Parade, which is taking place today.
The participants started the holiday of youth and beauty earlier than others. They put on wedding dresses or their elements and sneakers or running shoes and ran half a kilometer from Poshtova Square to Narodna Square.
At the finish, the organizers, including the sports club Body Zone, congratulated the winners, and all participants were awarded with medals and delicious meals. Katya Denisenko won bronze medals, Anastasia Kuzma came second, and Anastasia Maniko won the gold medal.
"It’s really fun and a good opportunity to interestingly spend your day," – Olesya Smirnova, a participant of the race, who competes in semi-marathons, complex and long runs, says. Olesya was running along with her daughter Darynka, who was happy to take part in such a playful competition with her mother. "After running in the forest and in the mud, running around in a dress is not the worst option" – the athlete smiles.
The Runaway Bride Run will become traditional in Uzhgorod. And tonight, dozens of beauties will take part in the Parade of Brides, which will be held for the ninth time. The feast will begin at 19.00 with the drive of the wedding motorcade through the streets of the city, and the solemn procession will start at 19.30 from Poshtova Square. The brides will march to the square in front of the theater, where a show program, presentations of the bride groups and the announcement of the winners in 11 nominations will take place, and the traditional "dance of the bride" will be the culmination of the holiday.
