Roses will be growing on the embankment in Uzhgorod!

The public consultations on whether rose bushes should be planted on Nezalezhnist embankment have finished.

 Recall that roses once were growing on Nezalezhnist embankment in Uzhgorod. According to available information, the rose garden was destroyed after a flood. Therefore Uzhgorod City Council asked the opinion of the city residents about the expediency of planting rose bushes along the embankment.

The results of the public consultations are as follows: 624 Uzhgorod residents participated in the voting, 76.9% of the participants of the consultation supported the proposal to plant the roses on the embankment.

What is public consultation? It is a process of communication between local governments and citizens (stakeholders), through which both sides become aware of different prospects and proposals. It is an instrument that enables citizens to influence the content of decisions made by local governments.
