Robert Horvat congratulates compatriots on the national holiday

MP Robert Horvat posted the congratulations on his page on Facebook:

"Congratulations on the Day of Unification of Ukraine!

January 22, 1919 was a real historical date for the Ukrainian people! On that day, the Act of Unification of the Ukrainian People’s Republic and the Western Ukrainian People’s Republic was proclaimed. Therefore, the Unification Day is a grand national holiday!

Today, on the occasion of the holiday, there was the opening of the memorial plaque to the chairman of the Central Council of the Ukrainian People’s Republic Mykhailo Hrushevsky. There was also laying of flowers at monuments to Taras Shevchenko and the President of Carpathian Ukraine Augustin Voloshin.

In honor of the Act of Unification, young people unfurled on Narodna Square a 100-meter-long flag of Ukraine and make a solemn procession along Nezalezhnist embankment.

I sincerely believe that our strength is in unity – persistent, purposeful movement forward will help us build a strong and highly developed state.

Happy Unification Day!!!".
