Road accident in Uzhgorod district: a drunk driver and two victims (PHOTOS)

In Uzhgorod district two people were injured in a road accident because of a drunk driver’s fault. 
Transcarpathian regional police informs that on December 29, at about 10:00 pm, police had received from doctors a report about an accident with victims in Uzhgorod district.
The investigative team, having arrived at the scene, found out that cars Opel Vivaro and Volkswagen Passat had collided on the highway in the direction of the village of Chervone in Uzhgorod district. The driver of the former car was making a right turn when the Volkswagen, which was driving behind him, crashed into him. The perpetrator of the accident was found to be intoxicated.
The collision caused both cars to sustain significant damage. The driver of the Volkswagen was taken to Uzhgorod city hospital, doctors diagnosed him with polytrauma. The other driver suffered minor injuries.
The police have started an investigation over the incident, preliminary legal classification is Part 1 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of traffic safety requirements). Both cars were delivered to the impound lot of the Uzhgorod district police station. The circumstances of the car accident are being established by investigators.
