Among the five addresses, suggested byх Observer as those worth visiting on May weekend, Uzhgorod turned out in the first place. Along with the seventh spring festival of wine and honey, ‘Sonyachny Napiy’ (‘Sun Drink-2012’), the ratings’ authors consider it necessary to visit Uzhgorod and Nevitsky Castles, Knights Templar castle, Carpathian Biosphere Reserve, to see sakura blossom in the city and the fourth Festival “Sakura Fest 2012”, which runs from April 24 to May 12.
Together with Uzhgorod in the list of the most interesting destinations in May there were also Lviv ethno-jazz festival “Flyugery Lvova z Buchach” ("Lviv weathervanes from Buchach"), Ukrainian festival "Dragobrat 2012" – the closure of the ski season, the first festival of historical reconstruction "Medieval Khotyn" in Khotyn, Ukrainian festival of balloons “FLYQUEST” in Truskavets, outdoor Museum of folk Architecture and Life of Naddniprianshchyna in Pereyaslav-Khmelnitsky and the Museum of folk Architecture and Life in Pirogovo.
