Restoration of the Nevytsky castle will begin next year

Restoration works in the Nevytsky castle near Uzhgorod will begin next year, Hennadiy Moskal reported on his Facebook page. It is one of the most famous fortresses in Transcarpathia, the construction of which began approximately in the XII century. 
Now the unique structure, which was keeping away armies of different conquerors for centuries, is in a dilapidated state. The design and estimate documentation for the restoration of the wooden roof over one of the towers (which can collapse at any moment) and for the conservation works is almost ready. The approximate cost is 4.6 million hryvnias, the sources of financing are the State Fund of Regional Development and the regional budget of Transcarpathia. 
Nevytsky Castle is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Transcarpathia, which is visited by many people every year. And after the restoration, the flow of tourists will only increase.
