Torrential rains, that occurred in the region during the day of the 20th and at night of the 21th November, caused the rise of groundwater levels and water levels in the major rivers of the region, the State Emergencies Service of Ukraine reported.
Rescuers in Transcarpathian region are pumping water out of the households flooded due to bad weather.
The Office informs that as of the morning of November 21, in Mizhhirya district, in the village of Repynne six households are flooded, in the village of Kolochava – one, in the village of Tyushka – one, in the town of Mizhhirya – two.
"In Rakhiv district, in the village of Kvasy – one, in the city of Rakhiv – nine households. In Tyachiv district, one – in the village of Uhlya, and three – in the village of Neresnytsia. In Volovets district, one house is flooded in the village of Nyzhni Vorota, and also warehouses of the "Polimertehnika" LLC, located in the town of Volovets", – the State Emergencies Service reported
According to the press service of the Office, on the territory of the said settlements, 36 officers and seven vehicles of the State Emergencies Service Office in Transcarpathian region, five officers and two vehicles of local fire brigades of the village of Uhlya and the village of Neresnytsia in Tyachiv district, two vehicles and five officers of the Mizhhirya District State Administration are engaged in evacuation and passage of water, cleaning of roadside drainage ditches.
The press center stressed that the situation is under control of the State Emergencies Service Office in Transcarpathian region. "The information on the aftermath of the bad weather is being specified," – the Office informed.
