Heavy rain, that took place on Saturday evening in Rakhiv district, flooded about a hundred houses in the village of Bila Tserkva. This is stated in the information on the site of the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Hennadiy Moskal. In some places the water level was at 70 centimeters, and in ten houses water flooded the basements. In addition, due to bad weather, the village was completely de-energized.
– Rescuers of Rakhiv and Tyachiv districts have been sent to Bila Tserkva, three pumps are pumping out water there – Hennadiy Moskal said. – Electricity supply is restored in half of the village, another half is being examined by crews of electricians. Hopefully, the water will be gone by the morning, and electricity supply will be restored in all of the village.
Another crew of the State Emergencies Service went to Verkhnye Vodyane, where rains resulted in landslide that partially blocked the road. Withing several hours, vehicular traffic will be restored, the situation is under the control of local and regional authorities.
– After electricians restored electricity supply in half of the village, a high-voltage line near the village of Velyky Bychkiv was hit by a lightning – Hennadiy Moskal said. – As of 22.30, Bila Tserkva is again completely de-energized, now two emergency crews of electricians are working there. The water level in yards has begun to decline, but the streets are still flooded, and in some places the water level reaches half a meter.
As of 22.30, the road us cleared, traffic is free.
