The issue of people’s safety on the water is very relevant, especially now during the swimming season. So, in order to prevent death of people due to ignorance and non-compliance with the rules of conduct, on August 22, rescuers of Transcarpathian region, together with the police representatives, conducted preventive raids in places of recreation of people on water bodies. The raids took place in the cities of Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, as well as Velyky Berezny, Volovets, Mizhhirya and Vynogradiv districts. Rescuers and police officers explained people the danger of swimming in places not suitable for it, told about the rules of safe behaviour on the water, reminded the rules of rendering assistance to a drowning person. The citizens carefully listened to the instructions and recommendations of the emergency services representatives and promised to be careful. Everyone was given a leaflet with the rules of conduct on the water set out in an accessible form.
