During March 17-18, adverse weather conditions were observed in Transcarpathian region: strong wind, snow, rain, blizzards and ice.
Due to the increase of wind, in a number of settlements of Vynogradiv, Velyky Berezny, Uzhgorod, Tyachiv and Mukachevo districts, trees fell on roadways and power lines. In addition, in the village of Bushtyno in Tyachiv district, tree branches damaged power lines.
And in the village of Polyanska Huta in Perechyn district, a strong wind damaged the roof of the local educational institution boiler house. Also, the roof of a local temple was damaged by a tree.
Emergency and relief works for tree cutting were carried out by subdivisions of the regional State Emergencies Service of Ukraine Office. In total, rescuers were engaged 15 times. The largest number (11 cases) was registered in the city of Vynogradiv
Rescuers towed out 20 cars that had driven to the roadside or got stuck on the highways of the region. 13 units of machinery and 49 officers the operational-rescue service were working on the highways of the region.
As of 09:00 on March 19, the main roads of the region are free for driving. There are no power supply outages in the settlements.
