Today, on May 16, there was a regular session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council where they discussed the changes to the Uzhgorod airport financing program.
By this decision, the deputies increased the financing for the program by UAH 2 million.
As the chairman of the regional council Mykhailo Rivis said to the Mukachevo.net, the organization of flights was entrusted directly to the Uzhgorod airport.
– That is, this is the program of the Uzhgorod airport activities. Since the Uzhgorod airport will be the organizer of the flights, in case of incurred losses, the airport will be able to cover such losses at the expense of the allocated funds, – Mykhailo Rivis said.
Under the agreement, the airport will organize flights, and "Motor Sich" will be the contractor.
Mykhailo Rivis added that an agreement with Motor Sich had already been reached. Representatives of the company are now in Transcarpathia, so the contract will be signed today or tomorrow.
At the same time, today, during the voting, deputies made changes to the program in such a way that the specialized budget and infrastructure commissions had the opportunity to conduct an audit each month, that is, Uzhgorod Airport will report monthly on the funds used.
The director of the Uzhgorod Airport Ruslan Liss noted that flights would be made every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The departure is at 6:45, and the return – at 20:15.
