Ivan Baloha, the chairman of the regional council, signed a decree to convene an extraordinary session of the Transcarpathian Regional Council today, December 2, at 16:30.
"According to Article 46 and paragraph 1 of Part 6 of Article 55 of the Law of Ukraine "On Local Self-Government in Ukraine", given the socio-political situation in Ukraine in connection with the failure to sign the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union on Eastern Partnership at the Summit in Vilnius and brutal crackdown on the peaceful assembly of citizens in Kyiv, on November 30, 2013, to convene an extraordinary session of the Regional Council of the VI convocation on December 2nd, 2013 at 16.30 in Uzhgorod, in the meeting room of the regional council, with the agenda:
– On the socio-political situation in Ukraine," – the decree states.
