Regional Council adopted the program of traffic safety

Transcarpathian Regional Council adopted the "Regional programme of traffic and its safety on the roads, streets of cities and other settlements, railroad crossings of the region for the years 2013-2016". 
The program provides for the implementation of the measures to improve traffic organization and increase passenger safety. Nearly four million hryvnias is planned to allocate for its implementation. In particular, one and a half million will be allocated for the purchase of patrol cars, 820 000 – for the introduction of CCTV and automatic recording of violations of traffic rules at intersections of main streets, 200 000 – for the installation of the means of forced speed reduction. It also provides funding for the improvement of traffic lights – informed the press service of the regional council.
