Regarding the railroad accident: reaction of the Ukrzaliznytsya

Today, on January 27, at noon, at the railway crossing of the 110th km of the Bushtyno – Tyachiv stretch, the driver of a truck ZIL caused a collision with the passenger train No. 14 Kyiv – Solotvyno.
Three people inside the truck were injured as a result of the crash, two of them suffered fatal injuries. The locomotive crew and train passengers were not injured.
During the period of the road accident aftermath relief, the railwaymen quickly organized motor transport for delivery of the train passengers from the station Bushtyno to the station Solotvyno and from the stations Solotvyno, Teresva and Tyachiv to the station Bushtyno.
According to the preliminary findings of the expert commission, there is no fault of the railway. The accident at the railway crossing happened as a result of a gross violation of the traffic rules by the truck driver. Ignoring the sound and light alarm, he drove onto the railway tracks and caused a collision with the train. The investigation into the circumstances and causes of the accident is ongoing.
