Railroad crossing in Perechyn was polluted by the public utilities and not by the Wood-Chemical Plant – the administration of the PWCP (COMMENT)

Yesterday, some media reported about the incident in Perechyn, where the contents from a truck, that was transporting waste, spilled on the railway crossing.

According to the Director General of the "Perechyn Wood-Chemical Plant" PJSC Yuriy Maltsev, despite the accusations against the PWCP, their company has nothing to do with this incident – it was the fault of Perechyn utilities.

"It was like this. The city public utilities finally decided to clean the stream. Apparently, they loaded the trash from the stream into a truck – ZIL. And on the crossing (at the bend to Lumshory), probably the truck jolted, the bed opened and the contents spilled onto the road.

It was the end of the day, on April 11, at about 18.00. Witnesses said that the road was even blocked for some time. They linked this incident to the PWCP, probably because the railway crossing is located close to our company", – Yuriy Maltsev says.

So far, there has been no official comment about this from the city authorities of Perechyn or personally the Mayor Ivan Pohorilyak. The only known thing is that the stream being cleaned is going to be covered with concrete slabs.
