The Cabinet of Ministers will extend the quarantine in Ukraine until May 22 at an extraordinary meeting on Monday.
This was stated by the Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at the beginning of the meeting.
However, on May 11, some restrictions will be lifted.
The following facilities will be opened:
- Parks, recreation areas
- Hairdressers, nail, beauty salons
- Summer terraces of cafes and restaurants, catering establishments providing takeaway
- Wholesale and retail trade in non-food products, except for malls
- Museums
- Training of sport teams indoors
- Dentists, auditors, lawyers, notaries, servicing of household appliances
"The quarantine will be extended now until May 22. Then we will see how the pandemic situtation changes in the world and how the morbidity curve will fluctuates in our country."
According to him, the World Health Organization has extended the global state of emergency, so Ukraine cannot completely lift the restrictions.
