Changes are expected in the domestic international road freight transportation industry. In particular, regarding the issuance and control of special permits for the carriage of goods abroad.
This was announced by MP Robert Horvat, referring to the information received from the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine.
"[…] Tthe Ministry of Infrastructure assured us that the test program for the electronic distribution of permits would be introduced already in the first half of July. It is also planned to launch an automated system for the issuance and registration of permits, the use of forms with special QR and bar codes", – Horvat said.
According to the parliamentarian, the situation with permits for international road transportation is still difficult.
"I think it is not a secret to anyone that the situation with issuancce and registration of permits for international road freight transport in Ukraine leaves much to be desired. There are difficulties with the distribution of permits, there is not enough objective information about the actual crossing of the border by carriers, occasionally, the permits in the country just expire, blocking the work of the entire industry."
In numerous appeals to the Ministry of Infrastructure, the People’s Deputies have suggested solutions for the problem developed jointly with representatives of the Association of International Automobile Carriers (AIAC).
"I am glad to see that our propositions were heard. I hope that this work will soon bring the first positive results, help to stabilize the situation in the field of international road transportation, eliminate corruption risks and establish transparent and efficient work of the carriers."
