Puppet show about a Transcarpathian boy gained praise in Kyiv (PHOTO)

October for the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theater turned out to be very busy – successful presentation of the play "Sleeping Beauty" and subsequent tours with the premiere to Khust, Vynohradiv, Irshava districts, performance of the play "True Pirate Story" for Uzhgorod students and the play "Horseshoe for luck" for kids of Uzhgorod district, shows in the city kindergartens, Sunday performances in the theater and – rehearsals, rehearsals…

Meanwhile, there have been events that have become famous all over Ukraine, Nina Malyshka writes.  Thus, on October 25-26, there was a two-day tour in Kyiv, at the Puppet Theatre in the heart of the capital, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the company. The Transcarpathian puppeteers showed the play that is considered their trademark – "Sad sack from a den" by Dmytro Keshelya (director – Honored Artist of Ukraine Oleksandr Kutsyk, stage designer – Yaroslav Danyliv, actors – honored artist of Ukraine Natalia Oryeshnikova and Mykola Karpenko).

Representatives of the theatrical community positively rated the performance and acting, and Leonid Popov – professor, head of the puppet theater acting and directing department of Kyiv National University of Theater, Film and Television, Honored Artist of Ukraine – said that the performance "Sad sack from a den" belonged to the Golden Pages of the national puppet theater art.

And on October 28, the Transcarpathian Puppet Theater participated in the XI International Festival of Comedy "Golden Applause of Bukovina", which took place from October 22 to November 1 in Chernivtsi at the Regional Drama Theater.   The performance "Sad sack from a den" of the Transcarpathian Regional Academic Puppet Theatre was recognized as the best puppet show of the festival.
