Today, during the plenary meeting of the 18th session of the Tyachiv City Council of the seventh convocation, doctor of economic sciences, the co-founder of the insurance company "AMG-group" Igor Pohribny, a representative of the "Brockservice" LLC, a Ukrainian partner of the foreign investor "Waste to Energy International", made a speech before the deputies, the Tyachiv.com.ua informs.
The speaker told the deputies about the investor’s intentions to build a waste incinerator in Tyachiv. The technologies to be used at this facility ensure 100% incineration without the need for disposal. When waste is processed, heat and electricity are generated.
According to Pohribny, more than 500 incinerators with such technologies have been built in Europe. And in Ukraine it will be the first project of this kind. The cost of the plant is about 60-70 million euros. Its construction will take 2-2,5 years.
The speaker said that the investors included this project in their plan for the next year, by the end of October the community should decide whether to give permission to build a waste incineration plant in Tyachiv. Therefore, public hearings on this issue will be held soon.
And at today’s session of the city council it was decided to take note of the investor’s intentions and to instruct the executive committee to prepare materials for consideration at the session.
