Import of 200 pills of «rivotril», 16 of «tramadol», 20 of «xanax» containing psychotropic substances was prevented. The attemps to transfer the substances to Ukraine were made by foreigners and our fellow citizens through the Ukrainian-Romanian and Ukrainian-Hungarian borders.
At the customs post "Solotvyno" a citizen of Romania tried to import 2 pcs. of tramadol, containing "alprazolam" via "green corridor". This drug is the "number one" medicine in the list "Of narcotic drugs of psychotropic substances and precursors", approved by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine since 06.05.2000, № 770.
Other two cases occurred at the customs post "Tysa". A citizen of Portugal and our Ukrainian lady "forgot" to specify 100 tablets of «rivotril» in their customs declaration. The discovered tablets contain active ingredient "clonazepam" the import of which is also subject to limited import to Ukraine. Both cases were documented and protocols of violation according to the Article 472 of the Customs Code of Ukraine were drawn up by the customs officers while the medicines were seized.
A Ukrainian citizen also failed to take advantage of fast service at "green corridor" at the customs post "Vylok" and illegally import 20 pills of «xanax» and 14 pcs. of tramadol from Hungary. These actions are considered to be a violation of customs rules under the Article 471 of the Customs Code of Ukraine, – informs Victoria Senhetovska, a press secretary of the Chop customs.
