“Pseudopoliceman” cheated a resident of Uzhgorod out of 6,000 UAH

Yesterday, the head of the department of the "Epicenter" LLC, a resident of the village of Mynai reported to Uzhgorod police that at about 14.25 an unknown male had called her from an unidentifiable number and introduced himself as an investigator. The "pseudopoliceman" demanded to transfer 6,000 UAH for closing the case against her son, a 20-year-old student of the Slavonic Institute, who allegedly had been arrested for possessing marijuana,. The woman transferred the money, then she called her son and learned that he was home and had no problems with the police.
